About me
Hi, I’m Steph, and I’m wrapping up my 7.5th (basically 8th!) year in education! I’m also a proud Trine University alum, so I’m especially excited to be back joining this conference for the second year. I’ve spent my entire teaching career in a self-contained K–2 behavioral focused (emotional disabilities/autism) classroom, with the occasional 3rd grader joining the mix. Every day has taught me something new about behavior, relationships, flexibility, and the incredible potential our students have when they feel understood and supported. I’m passionate about behavior supports and helping others see these students through a strengths-based lens. One of my favorite things is helping educators learn to love and connect with challenging students the way I do. I’m always learning, adapting, and finding new ways to meet student needs, because in this field, growth never stops!
